Asif Iftekhar (Sumit) is an independent photographer with a special interest in photojournalism. To him, photography is a powerful tool for self-expression.

 

He ventured into the photographic field in 2013, completing his Basic and Foundation Photography course successfully at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. He then worked as an assistant photographer to the institute's Head of Photography Department between 2013-2015.

 

In 2015, he went to Malaysia to study Tourism and Hospitality Management, but by the end of 2016, his Malaysian college license and subject license had been canceled by the Malaysian Government. He thus returned to Bangladesh in 2017, and refocused his career on his passion – photography.

 

He is now working as a Photojournalist in a local Multimedia Portal.

 

His interests and experience span portrait, fashion, and documentary photography.
